Frost sets PGA Tour putting record

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- David Frost broke the PGA Tour's 16-year-old record for fewest putts in a tournament, needing just 92 this week at the MCI Heritage.
Frost, who holds the Harbour Town Golf Links scoring record of 61, had one fewer putt than previous record holder Kenny Knox, who also set his mark at this tournament in 1989.
It didn't help Frost on the leaderboard here, though. Frost had rounds of 68, 75, 74 and 73 to finish at 6-over 290 on the par-71 course.
Frost had 23 putts on Thursday, 26 on Friday, 21 on Saturday and 22 in the final round.
