Titleist 2009 AP1 Multi-Material and Dual Cavity Irons

When the 712 AP1 Irons be the hot golf in the market, can you remember the first AP1 Irons that made by Titleist in 2009? AP stands for Advanced Performance. Titleist says it is for the "skilled and aspiring" golfer and features multi-material, dual cavity irons providing great looks, feel, shot control and higher flight with forgiveness.

Titleist 2009 AP1 Irons offer a contemporary, confidence inspiring appearance in the playing position with soft blends, modern proportions and semi-underslung hosel. Key improvements to the new AP1 irons add forgiveness without sacrificing shot control - factors previously thought to be mutually exclusive. AP1 irons are more forgiving because of their more efficient, high MOI design while also featuring a more traditional appearance with a progressive blade length throughout the set.

The AP1 come standard with True Temper Dynamic Gold High Launch steel shafts or Titleist VS Proto-T 75 graphite shafts as well as Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips are available for righties and lefties in a 4-PW set. The dual cavity and multi-material design are a radical departure from anything Titleist has made in the past and have been designed with one key bit of player feedback at the forefront: feel. Cheap golf club sets forgiveness, solid feel and improved looks advance your game with the new AP1 irons.

It covers the lower cavity and is designed to keep weight lower while giving players both good feel and added forgiveness. This lower center of gravity gives players a higher launch angle with more ball speed and what Titleist calls "consistent spin performance across the hitting area." These are dual-cavity irons, which mean the weight is squeezed out to the perimeters. The body of the head is cast #431 steel with an aluminum cavity plate. New for Titleist is a soft elastomer cushion and central cross-member, which translates into a nice, solid feel with muted vibration.

Titleist 2009 AP1 Irons Main Features:
